WHAT is ParentTalk? A conversational workshop addressing issues of food, body image, and the media.
WHO should attend? Parents or guardians with girls and boys of all ages (3mo - 18yrs)
Why ParentTalk? Children and parents are bombarded with messages about food, appearance, and eating disorders. This program seeks to change that by arming parents with tools on how to talk to their kids about food, body image, and the media.
WHERE? Greater Philadelphia Area (Southeastern PA and some parts of NJ)
WHERE do the workshops take place? Homes, Offices, Schools, and Community Centers
WHEN? The host decides what best fits the community (weekend/weekday, morning/afternoon/evening)
HOW much does this cost? ParentTalk events are free to both the host and the attendees.
HOW many can attend? ParentTalk programs range in size from 15-50 parents
